REGULAR SESSIONS
ANNUAL SESSION, 09/12/1848
Meeting held at Boston (Ch1-573):
Grand Chapter opened.
- A petition from former members of King Cyrus Chapter of Worcester to restore its charter was received and approved. An endorsement, the text of which appears on ChI-577, was directed to be affixed to its charter.
- Finance.
The meeting elected the officers for the Grand Royal Arch Chapter for the ensuing year, with R. E. Charles W. Moore re-elected Grand High Priest; other officers elected and appointed as noted on Page ChI-576.
- Charity.
STATED MEETING, 12/12/1848
Held at Mason's Hall, Boston (ChI-580):
Grand Chapter opened.
- The Grand Marshal was directed to examine the regalia of the Grand Chapter; and to determine the whereabouts of the Grand Scribe's jewel and sash, "missing since the celebration of the 25th of October last."
- The Grand Secretary was directed to write to delinquent Chapters. The circular is reproduced beginning on Page ChI-581.
STATED MEETING, 03/12/1849
Held at Mason's Hall, Boston (ChI-582):
Grand Chapter opened.
- The Grand Marshal reported on the state of the regalia.
- It was voted that a set of regalia returned by Concord Chapter would be lent to King Cyrus Chapter.
- A resolution was adopted in praise of the retiring Grand Treasurer, Abraham A. Dame. A committee was appointed to "present some suitable token" of approbation.
- A committee was appointed to discuss a "difference of opinion" on the Past Master Degree.

Grand Chapter opened.
- The committee to find "some suitable token" for Comp. Abraham A. Dame reported progress.
- The committee on the Past Master Degree was granted further time.

SPECIAL MEETINGS
SPECIAL MEETING AT BOSTON, 10/25/1848
Held in Boston (ChI-579):
Grand Chapter opened. R. E. Gilbert Nurse presided.
"The Masonic Fraternity having accepted the invitation of the City authorities to unite with other bodies of their fellow citizens in celebrating the introduction of the waters of Lake Cochichuate into the city, the Grand Royal Arch Chapter was convened. . . At 10 o'clock, the Grand Chapter, with several other Masonic bodies, under escort of the Boston Encampment of Knights Templars, marched to Pemberton Square, and subsequently joined in the procession, which proceeded through the principal streets of the city, and arrived at the Common about 5 P.M. after witnessing the letting on of the water, the operation of the fountain, and the various ceremonies connected therewith, the Grand Chapter returned to the Temple, where the members separated."
