REGULAR SESSIONS

ANNUAL SESSION, 09/11/1849

Meeting held at Boston (Ch1-587):

Grand Chapter opened.

Report on the Order of High Priesthood.
The committee to find "some suitable token" for Comp. Abraham A. Dame reported progress.
The committee on the Past Master Degree was discharged.
Charity.
Finance.

The meeting elected the officers for the Grand Royal Arch Chapter for the ensuing year, with R. E. Gilbert Nurse elected Grand High Priest; other officers elected and appointed as noted on Pages ChI-589 and ChI-596.

STATED MEETING, 12/11/1849

Held at Mason's Hall, Boston (ChI-590):

Grand Chapter opened.

The General Grand High Priest was introduced, and the Grand Chapter rehearsed and explained the four degrees of Royal Arch Masonry. This meeting had a morning and evening session to complete all of the work. These ceremonies, adopted by the Convention of Royal Arch Masons, was also adopted by this Grand Chapter.

R. E. Gilbert Nurse declined election as Grand High Priest. Accordingly, the Grand Chapter elected R. E. Benjamin Huntoon to the office. The elected Deputy Grand High Priest also declined the office.

STATED MEETING, 03/12/1850

Held at Mason's Hall, Boston (ChI-595):

Grand Chapter opened.

R. E. Winslow Lewis, Jr. was elected Deputy Grand High Priest. All officers were installed.
Voted to obtain cards containing the relevant songs for the degrees.

STATED MEETING, 06/11/1850

Held at Mason's Hall, Boston (ChI-597):

Grand Chapter opened.

Invitations.
The committee to find "some suitable token" for Comp. Abraham A. Dame reported that a piece of plate had been presented.
It was voted to provide the Masonic apartments in September for the General Grand Chapter meeting.
