BIOGRAPHY

Elmer Revelle was born February 8, 1947 and reared in Herculaneum, Missouri and graduated from the public schools in that city. He attended Jefferson Junior College where he received his Associates of Arts Degree, while there he was inducted into Phi Theta Kappa where he served as National Vice-President. He continued his education at Southeast Missouri State University and received a Master of Divinity Degree from Eden Theological Seminary. In May of 2002, he was awarded a Doctor of Divinity degree from Central Methodist.

An ordained clergy of the United Methodist Church, he served many years as a pastor in rural, suburban and inner city parishes.

Brother Revelle began his Masonic career as a youth in Rose Croix Chapter, Order of DeMolay in Herculaneum where he served as Master Councilor in 1964. He chapter met in the Lodge in Herculaneum where his father and grandfather had served as Master. Elmer received his Blue Lodge degrees in Perryville Lodge No 670 in 1970. He transferred his membership to Montgomery Lodge No 246 where he served as Master in 1983, he also served as Master of Elvins-Ionic Lodge in Desloge in 1989, Currently he is a member of Ashland Lodge No 156.

Grand Master Crede appointed Brother Revelle as Grand Chaplain in 1983 and as DDGM in the same year. He served two years as DDGM and as a Grand Chaplin form that time-with the exception of one year- until 1996 when Grand Master Don Scott appointed him as Senior Grand Marshal. He was elected and installed Grand Master in September 2004.

His Masonic affiliations include the Scottish Rite, Valley of St Louis, the York Rite bodies of Independence, Moolah Shrine, the Red Cross of Constantine, the National Sojourners and Hero's of 76 and he served as Worthy Patron of his chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Brother Revelle married Diana Vaughn in August of 1968 and are the proud parents of two grown children, Lezlie Revelle of Kansas City and Shawn Revelle of St Louis.
