BIOGRAPHY

Jon Blake Broyles was born in Kirksville, Missouri on February 29, 1960 (leap day) attending public schools in Kirksville and graduating from Kirksville RIII High School in 1978. He graduated from Northeast Missouri State University in 1982 with as B.S. in mathematics and computer science. He married Anna Spalding of Kirksville and they had three daughters, Maria, Alexa, and Sara.
Jon began his Masonic journey in Adair Lodge No 366, Kirksville, Missouri on October, 9, 1990, he was passed to the degree of Fellowcraft on November 27, 1990 and raised to the sublime degree of Master Mason on December 26, 1990. He served four years in line in Adair Lodge before moving to St Louis. He took dual membership in Rose Hill Lodge No 550 and served as Master in 1997.
In the Grand Lodge, he served on the Education Committee, the Website Committee and as DDGM of the 61st Masonic District Div B. He served a Conference Planning Chairman for the Midwest Conference on Masonic Education in 1998 and is a Past Master of the Missouri Lodge of Research
He belongs to the York Rite Bodies of Kirksville, as well as the Allied Masonic Degrees and the Royal Order of Scotland.
Jon is a member of the Scottish Rite Valley of St Louis and Past Venerable Master of the Consistory in 1998. He was recognized with the distinction of KCCH in 2005.
Brother Broyles is a member of Moila Shrine in St Joseph and Moolah Shrine in St Louis, being the the Highlander (Bagpipe and Drum) Unit
Jon served as Associate Bethel Guardian Bethel No 44, of Creve Coeur, Missouri, Associate Bethel Guardian Bethel No 32, Bridgeton and Associate Grand Bethel Guardian in 2004.
At the 184th Annual Communication of the Grand Lodge, Brother Broyles was appointed Senior Grand Marshal by Grand Master John Nations and was elected and installed Grand Master in September 2013
