HISTORY

In 1927 when Rhodes Lodge received its Dispensation from the Grand Lodge of Rhode Island both Harmony and Doric Lodges were growing in leaps and bounds. Some brethren from Harmony Lodge, led by Worshipful Brother Forrest A. Peck, felt there was a need for a small family lodge and Rhodes Lodge was the result. It was chosen in commemoration of the long and active participation of the Rhodes family in Masonic affairs of early Rhode Island, and for over thirty years its Annual Communication was held on the twentieth of October, which was Forrest Peck’s birthday.

In 1964 Rhodes Lodge was proud and honored to have had our 26th Master, Most Worshipful Brother Charles R. Bonnemort, elected as Grand Master of the Sate of Rhode Island.

We meet on the second Monday of each month and are happy and proud to practice the tenets of our profession. (1976)
