BIOGRAPHY

Stanley Thompson was born in Richmond, Missouri on March 30, 1957 and attended public school in Richmond, graduating from Richmond R-XVI in 1975. He received his B.S.Ed, degree, cum laude from the University of Missouri in 1979 and continued at the University receiving his J.D. Degree cum laude from the School of Law. While in Law School he served on the Missouri Law Review, was a member of Phi Delta Phi Legal Fraternity and was selected for membership in the Order of the Coif.

On July 2, 1876m he was united in marriage to Jennifer Strickler Thompson of Henrietta, Missouri. The Thompson's have two children, Clay, who was raised a Master Mason in March of 2003 in Richmond Lodge and later served as Master of Buckner Lodge No 501 and Kirstie who graduated from Central Missouri State University.

Since 1982, Brother Thompson had maintained a private, general law practice in Richmond, Missouri, During that time he has served 12 years as Prosecuting Attorney, 8 years as County Planning and Zoning Administrator, 4 years as City Attorney and City Counselor for the City of Richmond.

Brother Thompson received his Blue Lodge Degrees in Richmond Lodge No 57 in 1983 and served the Lodge as Master in 1987. He served the Grand Lodge as DDGM of the 23rd District in 1987. He is a Past President of the Masonic Children's Foundation and Past President of the Board of Directors of the Masonic Home. He was appointed to the Advancing Line by Grand Master Don Scott and was elected and installed Grand Master in 2003.

While attending the Conference of Grand Masters of North America in Washington D.C. in 2004 he listened to a presentation by Dr. David Hart concerning a Child Identification Program. At that conference he directed the officers of the Missouri Masonic Children's Foundation to consider changing course and adopt a child identification program that later became MoChip.

Brother Thompson is a member of the Scottish Rite, Valley of Kansas City, KCCH in 2003, Ararat Shrine, Richmond Shrine Club, the Order of the Eastern Star, Liberty Chapter No 3 RAM, Liberty Council R&SM and Liberty Commandery No 6 K.T. He is also a member of the same York Rite Bodies in Independence, Missouri. He belongs to Tipperary Council No 17 Knight Masons, Kansas City Chapter National Sojourners and Hero's of 76. Missouri Societas Rosecruciana, Harry S Truman York Rite College, Mary Conclave Red Cross of Constantine and Kilwining Council NO 19, Allied Masonic Degrees.
