BIOGRAPHY

From TROWEL, Spring 2006, Page 6:

Rt. Wor. Richard B. Burgess was elected and installed Senior Grand Warden. The Master of Orient Lodge, Norwood, in 1993-1994, he is also a member of Blue Hill, Azure and Columbian Lodges. He served as District Deputy Grand Master of the Hyde Park 25th Masonic District in 2001-2002 and as a member of the Grand Lodge Scholarship, Membership, Foreign Relations and FLIC Committees, and he is a member of the District Deputy Resource Team. A graduate of the Robert C. Patey Class of the Masonic Leadership Institute, Bro. Burgess has been an active worker in the York and Scottish Rite bodies.

He served as High Priest of Neponset Valley Royal Arch Chapter, Norwood, in 1998, and is the Chaplain of Mount Vernon Royal Arch Chapter, Needham, St. Paul’s Royal Arch Chapter, Boston, and the Grand Royal Arch Chapter Exemplification Degree Team. Bro. Burgess is Prelate of United Commandery #21, Norwood, and Associate Prelate of St. Bernard Commandery #12, Boston. In 2003, he served as Grand Scribe of the Grand Royal Arch Chapter of Massachusetts.

Bro. Burgess serves as the Assistant to Sovereign Grand Commander Walter E. Webber, 33°, of the Supreme Council, 33°, Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite, N.M.J., and received the 33° in 1998. He and his wife Susan reside in Westwood and have two children, Elise and Christopher
