The Senior Grand Warden is Rt. Wor. Jeffrey L. Gardiner of Norfolk Lodge, Needham. He was elected in 2006 to receive the 33rd degree this summer in Washington, D.C., which reflects his high level of service to Freemasonry and his community.

Rt. Wor. Bro. Gardiner chairs the Grand Lodge Membership Committee, just completed three years as District Deputy Grand Master and has presided over the 34th Masonic Forum.

Brother Gardiner is widely known for his many years of leadership in both the York and Scottish Rite bodies, and for his service as web master for both the Massachusetts Scottish Rite Council of Deliberation and the Massachusetts Grand Royal Arch Chapter.

The High Priest of Mount Vernon Royal Arch Chapter, Needham, for several years, he was a member of the Grand Royal Arch Chapter degree team for ten years, a District Deputy Grand High Priest for two years and the Deputy Grand High Priest for Massachusetts in 2004.

A member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Boston, Bro. Gardiner has been an active degree worker and ritual director in Massachusetts Consistory and Lafayette Lodge of Perfection. He also serves as an Assistant Master of Ceremonies for Massachusetts Consistory and chairs the Family Life Committee of the Massachusetts Council of Deliberation.

Brother Gardiner has served his church, Christ Episcopal Church, Needham, and was a Needham town meeting member for ten years. Active in community theatre, he was recognized in 2004 for creating the “Best Lighting Design.”

Bro. Gardiner has three adult children, Stephen, Karen and Julie, and six grandchildren. As busy as he is in Masonry and the theatre, he enjoys sailing the coast with his wife, Fran.

Rt. Wor. Jeffrey L. Gardiner of Norfolk Lodge, Needham, has been installed Grand Secretary after completing three years as District Deputy Grand Master, and subsequently serving as Senior Grand Warden and chairing the Grand Lodge Membership Committee, which has spearheaded efforts to attract new members to the fraternity.

Brother Gardiner is widely known across the jurisdiction for his many years of leadership in both the York and Scottish Rite bodies, and for his service as web master for both the Massachusetts Scottish Rite Council of Deliberation and the Massachusetts Grand Royal Arch Chapter. He received the 33° last summer in Washington, D. C., which reflects his high level of service to Freemasonry.

Less known is the 35 years of corporate, business and management experience that he brings to his new position. Certainly his expertise in computer systems, software development, network systems and customer relations will benefit the implementation of a new Grand Lodge membership database system.
