ANNUAL SESSION, 09/12/1837
Meeting held at Boston (Ch1-439):
Grand Chapter opened.
- The committee on King Hiram's Chapter reported that no answer had been received regarding surrender.
- Finance report.
The meeting elected the officers for the Grand Royal Arch Chapter for the ensuing year, with R. E. Simon W. Robinson elected Grand High Priest; other officers elected and appointed as noted on Pages ChI-441 and ChI-443.
A committee was appointed to examine the by-laws.
STATED MEETING, 12/12/1837
Held at Mason's Hall, Boston (ChI-442):
Grand Chapter opened.
- Installation of officers.
- The committee on King Hiram's Chapter was given further time.
- The committee on by-laws recommended changes to Articles 2, 7, 9, 11, and 12, and Article 3 of the Regulations. These were approved by vote. Note: Among the changes was the addition of a March stated meeting instead of a June one.
STATED MEETING, 03/13/1838
Held at Mason's Hall, Boston (ChI-445):
- The committee on King Hiram's Chapter reported that no answer had been received, and that the charter was thereby "declared forfeited, and the same {was} annulled and void."
- A committee was appointed to prepare the Grand Chapter by laws to be printed.
- A committee was appointed to make arrangements for the meeting of the General Grand Chapter in Boston.
