The Grand Chapter opened at Charlton, and moved in procession to Rev. Mr. Whipple's Meeting House, where the chapter was "consecrated" and the officers were installed "in ample and ancient form." After the ceremony, the procession returned to the Hall and enjoyed "a plentiful and splendid entertainment . . . Sentiments, songs and social hilarity prevailed."

Meeting held at Mason's Hall, Boston (ChI-112):

The Grand Chapter opened.

Grand Chapter voted as follows:

  • To review the accounts of Treasurer and Secretary and fix their compensation.
  • That the Grand Treasurer be authorized to receive bills (currency) from Massachusetts, Connecticut, and Rhode Island banks.
  • To accept an offer to have the Grand Chapter meet at Mason's Hall on Ann Street.
  • To accept the manuscript of Regulations and Forms for the Grand Chapter, and to have it printed.

The meeting elected and appointed the following officers for the Grand Royal Arch Chapter for the ensuing year:

  • James C. King, Deputy Grand High Priest
  • Samuel L. Knapp, Grand King
  • Andrew Sigourney, Grand Scribe
  • Thomas Jackson, Grand Treasurer

The Grand Chapter opened.

The Grand Chapter voted:

  • That the petitioners for a Chapter at Greenwich had leave to withdraw until the next Communication.
  • To communicate names of officers to the General Grand Chapter, and to distribute the regulations adopted at the last communication.

STATED MEETING, 06/13/1815

Held at Mason's Hall, Boston (ChI-121):

The Grand Chapter opened.

A new Breast Plate was presented to the Grand Chapter.

The Grand Chapter voted:

  • To grant a charter for a Chapter at Greenwich.
  • To install King Solomon's Chapter at Charlton in September;
  • To appoint a committee to provide a dinner for the Grand Chapter.
  • To adopt the following standing rule:
    • "That no person be admitted as a visitor at any Communication unless some member of said Grand Chapter, or Companion of right, sitting in the same, will of his own knowledge, declare that such person desirous of being admitted, has regularly received all the degrees appertaining to Royal Arch Masonry, as conferred by the Chapters under this jurisdiction."
