NEW ENGLAND CONSERVATORY LODGE

Location: Boston

Dispensation presented to: Herbert W. Dean, January 1930

Current Status: dispensation declined.

PETITION BY MUSICIANS

There is very little information about this petition, except to note that a large number of participants in the petitioners were members of Euclid Lodge, an artists' and performers' lodge in Boston (including two Past Masters). Most of the petitioners were musicians or music teachers and composers, and no doubt all were associated with the New England Conservatory.

The petition was not granted, and there is no correspondence regarding the consent or rejection by other Boston lodges. Likely the time was not propitious for a new lodge, and some of the petitioners demitted or were suspended over the next few years.
