  • 03/13 (Masonic Temple, Boston): IV-475;
    • IV-476: Report of the Trustees of the Masonic Temple.
    • IV-476: Communication from the Grand Lodge of South Carolina; request for assistance due to fire.
      • 06/12: IV-481; committee unable to complete its work, and a new one was formed to tender "expression of fraternal sympathy".
    • IV-477: Committee on "late" Essex Lodge reported.
  • 06/12 (Masonic Temple, Boston): IV-479;
    • IV-480: Report of the safe committee. The safe has been installed in the southwest corner of the Temple. All Boston lodges participated except Mount Lebanon Lodge, but Lodge of St. Andrew took an additional share to cover it.
  • 12/11 (Masonic Temple, Boston): IV-483; Annual Communication. Opened by Junior Grand Warden, C. Gayton Pickman; Grand Master Dean arrived late.
    • IV-484: Proposed amendment to the By-Laws regarding the status of members following the suspension or cancellation of a lodge's charter: (Adopted 03/11/1840.)

1st: If at any time it shall be found necessary to suspend or cancel the Charter of any Lodge under this jurisdiction, for irregular or unmasonic conduct, the members of said Lodge, at the time of its having incurred such penalty, shall be disqualified to visit or join any other Lodge, without special permission of the Grand Lodge, obtained on memorial.
2nd: Any Mason knowingly assisting at the work of a Lodge, whose warrant or charter has been suspended or cancelled, shall be liable to expulsion from the rights of Masonry.

In the roll call, it was noted that "an unusually large number of representatives of Lodges and visiting brethren" were present.

    • IV-491: Report of committee on installation arrangements.
    • IV-491: Installation of Grand Master Dean and other Grand Lodge officers.
    • IV-493: Rt. Wor. C. Gayton Pickman, Junior Grand Warden, gave "an interesting and address on the nature and character of the Masonic Institution." A procession took the Grand Lodge to "another apartment of the Temple, where a sumptuous and elegant enterainment had been prepared."
