BIOGRAPHY

Bud Walker was born October 6, 1927 near Grandby, Missouri. He received his elementary and secondary education in the public schools of Kansas City except for his senior year in high school when his parents mover to southwest Missouri and he graduated from Stella High School in 1944. He attended Joplin Junior College in 1946 Brother Walker served with the Army in Japan during the occupation, His studies at the University of Missouri in Columbia were interrupted for further military service in 1950-1951, He was wounded in action in Korea durning 1951.

Brother Walker returned to the University of Missouri and graduated in 1953 with the Juris Doctor Degree adn was admitted to the Missouri Bar in September. While in law school he was a member of Delta Theta Phi Legal Fraternity. he was admitted to practice before the U. S. District Court for the Western District of Missouri in 1955

Bud Walker was married on June 24, 1951 to Marilyn Land.

Brother Walker entered the Masonic Fraternity in 1949 and was Master of Stella Lodge No 538 in 1957. He served on the Grand Lodge Jurisprudence Committee, serving on that committee for 20 years and was appointed Grand Marshal in 1964. He served on the Board of Directors of the Masonic Home, was a member of the Eastern Star and the Missouri Lodge of Research.

Grand Master Walker died August 20, 2010. Masonic services were held in Joplin with Past Grand Master Glenn E. Means providing the service.
