BIOGRAPHY

From Missouri Lodge of Research:

Tom Warden was born on October 13, 1933 in St Francis Hospital in Washington, Missouri. He received his education in the public schools of Owensville, graduating from high school in 1951. After which he attended the University of Missouri School of Journalism and graduated in 1955.

He was commissioned a Lieutenant in the U.S. Air Force in 1955, and served in the Strategic Air Command as a pilot and also with the 376th Air Refueling Squadron. He was honorably discharged at the end of 1958 with the rank of Captain.

He returned to Owensville where he started working for the Gasconade County Republican Newspaper in 1959.He became a part-owner in the Warden Publishing Company Inc in 1963 and became Co-Publisher with his Brother Don in 1977.

His masonic career stated when he joined Owensville Lodge No 624 in 1965 and served as Master in 1969. He was elected Grand Master in 1989 after being appointed Senior Grand Marshal by Grand Master Earl K. Dille. He served as President of the Board of Directors of the Masonic Home, a member of the Scottish Rite, Valley of St Louis receiving his KCCH and being coronated a 33rd degree on November 25, 1989. He belongs to the York Rite bodies of Bonne Terre, Missouri and well as Moolah Shrine,

He also holds membership in the Allied Masonic Degrees, National Sojourners, Philalethes Society, and Missouri Lodge of Research serving as editor form 1978 to 1987.

His hobbies include a love of music and he has played in the Herman Hungry Five (German Band) for 25 years and also in a Dixieland Band where he played tenor banjo and trombone.
