BIOGRAPHY

Steve Tobyes was born on July 7, 1949 in St Louis, Missouri. He attended public schools in St Louis County, graduating from Horton Watkins High School, Ladue, Missouri in 1967. Brother Toybes received his Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Missouri at Columbia with a major in history, ranking as a University Scholar and a member of the Dean's List. In 1974, he graduated from the University of Missouri School of Law with a Juris Doctor Degree and became a member of the Missouri Bar. Following his graduation he entered into private practice maintaing an office in Clayton, Missouri
He joined the Masonic fraternity in 1974 receiving the degrees in Benjamin Franklin Lodge No 642, Creve Coeur, Missouri where he later served as Master. He is a member of the Scottish Rite, Valley of St Louis where he served as Commander of the Council of Kadosh. He was recogninzed in the Scottish Rite with the 33rd degree
Brother Toybes was a member of Moolah Shrine, the Square Club of St Louis, the Missouri Lodge of Research and a recipient of the Honorary Legion of Honor from DeMolay.
Steve and his family are active members of the United Hebrew Congregation in St Louis County. Steve and his wife, Sharlene have two children, Sarah and Seth.
