BIOGRAPHY

From Missouri Lodge of Research:

Dale Motter was born on July 14, 1933, the son of Samuel and Blanche Motter. He received his grade school education in rural Adair County Schools and graduated from Kirksville High School in 1951. During hs senior year in High School, he began working at the Sellars Implement Company as a part-man. In April of 1953, he entered the Armed Services, serving during the Korean Conflict in the 7th Infantry Division Medical Battalion for 2 years. On his return to Kirksville, he resumed his position at Sellars Implement from 1962 to 1983. In 1983 Sydenstricker Truck and Trailer Sales employed him in Macon as partman and salesman. He retired from that company in 1990.

Brother Motter received his Masonic Degrees in the Spring of 1956 from Adair Lodge No 366, Kirksville, Missouri, serving as Master in 1962. He served the Grand Lodge as both DDGM and DDGL and served on the Ritual Committee of the Grand Lodge. He was appointed to the advancing line by Grand Master P. Vincent Kinkade as Junior Grand Steward and was elected Grand Master in 1993.

He belongs to Caldwell Chapter No 53, RAM, Kirksville Council No 44 R&SM and Ely Commandery No 22, Knights Templar. He is a member of the Red Cross of Constantine, Order of the Eastern Star, and Moila Shrine.

Brother Motter is also a member of the York Rite College No 162, St Louis, Mid Missouri Council Allied Masonic Degrees. Valley of Columbia Scottish Rite, Missouri Lodge of Research and National Sojourners

On November 4, 1951, Brother Motter married Marigame Doze and they have two sones, Brent Lee and Dale Dee, both of whom are Freemasons.
