DESCRIPTION
Pebblebrook is known for its stonemasons. The town is located in a covered area whose roof is composed of intertwined roots overgrown by the forest. The little town overlooks a slow-moving stream; the inhabitants of the town operate small flat boats to move the stone quarried at the edge of the covered town.
STRUCTURE
GOVERNMENT
The town is ruled by a three-mouse council; one is named by the Masons' Guild, one by the Harvesters' Guild and one from the population at large. These mice are elected at midsummer.

Stone working is the principal export of the town. Sometimes the masons find precious stones while excavating. The town's harvesters provide enough food for the town, but little surplus.
NOTES
- Peter, a former employee of Clarke's Cartography in Barkstone, had a dispute with his employer and moved out to this town. Since his arrival he has worked various odd jobs, including working in the quarries. A few months ago he discovered a portion of the quarry that had collapsed at some earlier time; in it he found the wooden box that contains records from the time of the Winter King. He sent a letter to Gwendolyn informing her of what he had found.
- Henley is a prominent stone-mason. He likes pretty things, and made a deal with Sable.
