IVYDALE (PRINCIPAL TOWN)

Location: Central

Nearest Towns:

DESCRIPTION

Ivydale is a very hardworking town that harvests most of the grain in the Territories. All of Ivydale's resident, young, old, male and female, sit and separate husks from grain during harvest time. Some of the fibers harvested are woven into cloth, often too rough for clothing, but suitable for tarps, bags and insulation.

Other duties include tool mending and sharpening, baking, milling, weaving baskets for storage and transportation of grain and goods.

Guardmice are ever-present in Ivydale because so many of the grain shipments need escorts.

STRUCTURE

Located in a shallow, ivy-choked valley, the town is made up of several settlements hidden away in trees and rocky outcroppings. Four trees house most of the lodgings and storehouses. Some of the wheat, rye and buckwheat sprout up through the settlement walls.

For water, Ivydale relies on rain collection and a well inside the base of one of the trees.

GOVERNMENT

Ivydale has an elected government which oversees trade with other cities, and a magistrate who handles internal disputes and labor quotas.

MAJOR TRADES

  • Grain Harvesting
  • Weaving

IMPORT/EXPORT

Ivydale exports grain (and, presumably, woven goods). It imports various household goods and tools.
