STATED MEETING, 12/15/1807

Held at Mason's Hall, Boston (ChI-55):

The Grand Chapter opened.

The Grand Chapter voted:

  • To suspend reports on By-Laws and Diplomas.
  • To appoint a Committee of Companions Fowle, Sigourney and Purkitt to meet with King Solomon's Chapter.

STATED MEETING, 06/14/1808

The Grand Chapter opened.

The committee appointed to visit King Solomon's Chapter made their report; action was suspended to the next meeting of the Grand Chapter.

A committee of Companions Thomas, Russell, Fowle, Redman and Jackson was empowered to "take such measures as they may judge proper to meet the just expectations of the Grand Chapter" with regard to illegal doings in Roxbury, including the conferral of the Chapter degrees. Note: this is probably to do with illegal use of the charter of Washington Lodge in 1808.
